I offer face-to-face and online therapy sessions in order to best meet the needs of my clients
Face-to-face sessions are held in my counselling rooms in Pimlico and Brixton. These rooms feature thoughtful details and soft furnishings, including comfortable chairs and cushions, creating a warm and inviting environment that fosters relaxation and openness. Designed with your privacy and confidentiality in mind, they provide a secure setting where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings with peace of mind. Both of my therapy rooms are conveniently located near public transport links, making them easily accessible from a variety of areas.
Online therapy also offers convenience and accessibility. It can be helpful if there are mobility issues or busy schedules and commitments. I offer online sessions via secure video conferencing platforms including Zoom and Google Meet.
In my practice, I use an integrative therapeutic approach, with a foundation rooted in person-centred therapy. I believe therapy is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ process. That’s why I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs and preferences, creating a flexible and collaborative approach to healing.
I am committed to providing a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely. I value each person’s individuality and diversity, and my goal is to support you in a way that feels right for you. Some other approaches I use, include CBT and Psychodynamic therapy. CBT explores the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviours and can be particularly helpful for addressing unhelpful patterns of thinking and creating strategies to manage difficult emotions or challenges. Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences and patterns may be shaping your present-day emotional challenges. It provides insight into unconscious patterns and their impact on your emotional life. The approaches I use are outlined below.
Central to my work is the collaborative therapeutic relationship, which I strive to build on a foundation of empathy, trust, and respect. This relationship provides a safe space to gain insight into your challenges, identify patterns, and explore healthier ways of being. Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, and like any journey, it may include unexpected detours. I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey, and with patience, courage, and support you can navigate and overcome these challenges.
This relationship can offer a unique lens to observe how you relate to yourself and others. It often mirrors dynamics from your broader relationships, with similar challenges or triggers surfacing within the therapy space. When this occurs, it creates an opportunity to address these issues in real-time, fostering a new experience of being met with understanding, compassion, and care.
I understand that traditional therapy settings can sometimes feel tailored to neurotypical expectations and may not always fully accommodate the unique needs of neurodiverse individuals. I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where you feel seen, accepted, and valued for who you are. I am open to discussing and implementing any necessary adaptations or accommodations that will help you feel comfortable being your authentic self in therapy, without fear, shame, or the pressure to mask your natural behaviours.
